Our everyday purchases have the power to create lasting social change. This belief underlies Kevin and Jenny's commitment to fair wages, environmental ethics and socially responsible business practices (ensuring no child labor and no slave labor). Momentum exists as a business to create and inspire social change by providing socially responsible choices to everyday purchases.

Momentum envisions a world where businesses promote economic, social and environmental justice and where engaged communities support these efforts. By integrating social and environmentally sound values into their daily practices, they are demonstrating that business can be a vehicle for social change.

Jenny Natapow
While conducting research in Nepal for the Asian Foundation’s sex-trafficking prevention program, Jenny dreamed of providing low-income women with employment opportunities and access to Western markets through the promotion of Fair Trade practices. During her time working and studying overseas, she recognized how Fair Trade could be a tool for creating social change all over the world. Jenny later attended the Brattleboro, VT based School for International Training, where she studied socially responsible business practices. Jenny, along with her husband Kevin, is putting her experience and knowledge into practice at Momentum.

Kevin Natapow
Kevin spent years working in international development, and holds a Master’s Degree in sustainable development from the Brattleboro, VT based School for International Training. Kevin believes that one of the most effective approaches to creating lasting change in the developing world is to promote Fair Trade practices.
